Company History
Design Furnishings was founded in Central Florida in 1976. We have over 40 employees, 90% of whom have been with the company for over 20 years! Since opening, Design Furnishings has been providing custom commercial furniture solutions for hotels and resorts, shopping centers and malls, restaurants and bars, hospitals, universities, retail stores, bowling alleys, cruise ships and theme parks.
We have worked with numerous high-profile clients, including multiple Darden Restaurants, the University of Florida, Macy’s, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Westfield Mall, the Marriott, numerous Rosen Hotels, and clients in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and more.
We are able to successfully execute large-scale commercial projects because of our state-of-the-art CAD (computer aided design) and CNC technologies, our efficient project management systems and client communication processes. Before beginning a new project, we conduct intensive research which includes evaluating, assessing and accounting for a client’s needs in regard to fit, finish and space planning.
In addition to designing, building and installing venue-appropriate custom furniture for a variety of industries, Design Furnishings is also very experienced at providing high-quality furnishings for venues, such as Hooter’s, B2 Café, Sonny’s BBQ, Pollo Tropical, Del Taco, and Flipper’s Pizza.
